Saudi Arabia and Tata Group discuss collaboration on industrial growth

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef visited the headquarters of the Indian Tata Group in Mumbai, where he met with leaders from TATA Defense, TATA Electronics Limited, and TATA Steel Limited to explore opportunities for cooperation in the military, aviation, electronics, and steel sectors.

During the meeting, Alkhorayef highlighted Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, emphasizing its role as a roadmap for the Kingdom’s economic diversification. He discussed the Vision’s impact on the industrial and mining sectors and outlined key investment opportunities in 12 strategic industrial sectors, including aviation, defense, and electronics.

The CEO of TATA Defense presented an overview of the company’s military aircraft and vehicles, showcasing the capabilities of Tata Group in designing, building, and operating military factories.

Meanwhile, the CEO of TATA Steel Limited shared insights into the company’s role in global markets, particularly its exports for construction, automotive, and supply chain sectors.

Discussions also focused on potential collaboration between TATA Electronics Limited, a leader in electronic chips and semiconductors, and the National Industrial Development Center (NIDC), to foster the development of the semiconductor industry within the Kingdom.

Alkhorayef was accompanied by the CEO of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, Abdulrahman Al-Samari, and the CEO of the National Industrial Development Center, Eng. Saleh Al-Solami.
